So I can't believe that it's Christmas Eve, this year has really flown by. Zach and I have had one crazy year. It all started out great!!! We were looking forward to having a little boy in May, but on March 25, 2008 we had our little William Zachary, who was a stillborn. Our lives changed from having a new baby and me quitting work, to having no baby and me having to go back to the City to work. Shortly after me going back to work we celebrated what would have been Will's birthday May 5, 2008 by going out to dinner and going to his grave. Not long after that we found out that I was expecting! What joy filled our hearts, especially when we found out that Will was sending down a little sister. Over the past few months our hearts still ache with not having Will in our lives but we know he's in a better place and he's constantly with us.
Our next journey that happened was that Zach applied for medical schools. The really exciting news came the first part of November when a school wanted to schedule an interview with Zach. So in November we made a trip to Kirksville, MO and one to Denver, CO. Both schools had a lot to offer, but when it came down to it Kirksville was a better choice! Right before Thanksgiving Kirksville contacted Zach and offered him a seat for the graduating class of 2013, finally our Zach's life long goal came true! So in August of 2009 we will be moving to a very small town but we are looking forward to the opportunity!
As I said earlier we found out we were expecting in May and now time is getting closer to bring our sweet Callista Jayde into this world. Things have been going well. I go to the doctor weekly for ultrasounds and she's growing like a weed. Last ultrasound she weighed 4 lbs. 2 oz. and is measuring at 33 weeks (I'm at 31 weeks). Zach and I are really looking forward to having her February 2009!!!
So this past year has had it's ups and downs but we are really grateful for all the love and support our families have shown us. Our families really helped out in the tough times, as well as the exciting ones! We wish all of our friends and family a Merry Christmas!
